4th Northern Forest Genetics Association Conference
August 13-14, 2008
Kellogg Biological Station, Hickory Corners, Michigan
The 4th Conference of the Northern Forest Genetics Association will be hosted by Michigan State University at the Kellogg Biological Station and Kellogg Forest. The Conference provides an opportunity for tree improvement researchers to discuss completed, ongoing and planned forest genetic research in the Northern United States and neighboring Canadian provinces.
Registration
Registration fees must be paid by check or cash. Unfortunately, credit card payments can not be accepted. Checks should be made payable to MSU Dept. of Forestry. Payment can be made at the conference or mailed in advance to:

Two registration forms are available:
1) an MS Word form that can be completed in Word and emailed as an attachment to bloese@msu.edu
2) a printable pdf form that can be mailed or FAXed to the address above.
Lodging options and associated registration fees are given on the Registration Forms. All registration options include breakfast, lunch and dinner on Wednesday, and breakfast and box lunch on Thursday. Please register no later than August 1.

Call for Speakers and Posters
Please indicate on your registration form if you are interested in speaking or presenting a poster at the conference. Past conferences have allotted 20-30 minutes per speaker, but more time may be available if needed.
Location
The KBS Conference Center is located on the eastern shore of Gull Lake on the historical summer estate of W.K. Kellogg known as Eagle Heights. The Conference Center is home to complete conference facilities, lodging, and the restored Manor House on 32 acres of exceptional gardens, landscapes and lake views. The KBS Conference Center is centrally located between Battle Creek (12 miles) and Kalamazoo (15 miles) just west of the corner of B Avenue and E. Gull Lake Drive. Home to over 150 experimental plantings, Kellogg Forest was established on abandoned farmland donated by W.K. Kellogg in 1932. Kellogg Forest is located approximately 5 miles south of KBS. Click here for more information on the forest http://www.maes.msu.edu/ressta/kelloggforest/

Lodging
The Orchard Dorm Suites offer two twin beds per room with a vanity and sink, small refrigerator, phone, and computer network connections. Bathrooms (shower and toilet) are shared between two rooms. There is no air conditioning, but fans can be provided. Check in begins at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 12.
The closest non-MSU lodging is the AmeriHost Inn (82 Van Buren St W, Battle Creek, MI; (269) 565-0501). It is approximately 16 miles away from the Conference Center.
